A former Air Force pilot and Vietnam combat veteran, Jim joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent in 1971. Jim's primary responsibilities included investigating violations of federal law including murder, kidnapping, bank robbery, aircraft hijacking, and narcotics. Jim also served as a relief supervisor, firearms instructor, and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team member/leader.

In 1984, Jim joined a Fortune 500 Company as Security Director and was promoted to Vice President Administration in 1995. Jim was responsible for Security, Facilities and Services, and Physical Plant Departments with a combined budget of $11 million and a staff of 125 employees and a like number of contractors. Jim was responsible for the operation and maintenance of corporate infrastructure including 2,000,000 square feet of office space, parking structures for 2300 vehicles and a like number of surface parking stalls, a central physical plant, and several acres of landscaping. Jim's security responsibilities extended to corporate properties throughout the country and abroad and included design and installation of integrated security systems comprised of access control devices, identification cards, cameras, and security guard stations; utilization of both contract and in-house guard forces; and coordination with local law enforcement authorities.
Jim is licensed in both the states of Nebraska and Iowa.

Doug, an attorney who received his Juris Doctor degree with honors, joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent in 1964. Throughout his 30 year career, Doug served in both investigative and supervisory capacities. Doug investigated complex cases including truck hijackings, organized crime, political corruption, and government fraud. He supervised a squad of 20 agents and reviewed, on an ongoing basis, 900 cases including extortion, kidnapping, and interstate transportation of stolen property. Doug served a principal legal counsel for the Omaha Division of the FBI which included both the states of Iowa and Nebraska. As such, he was additionally responsible for supervising the Freedom of Information/Privacy Act, Civil Forfeiture, and Civil Litigation Programs. He also conducted training seminars for law enforcement agencies on the subjects of supervisory and management civil liability, pursuit driving, deadly force, employment discrimination, and criminal procedures matters.
|Douglas L. "Doug" Hokenstad
Doug joined Acceptance Insurance Companies in 1997 as an Independent Investigator for the Special Services Unit and conducted several insurance fraud and arson investigations involving multi-million dollar losses.
Acceptance Insurance developed Independent Investigative Network (INET) and Doug began working for INET from its inception. INET investigations included background investigations, arson, legal matters, motor vehicle accidents, unlawful employment practices, and white collar crime. When INET decided to reduce their outside work load, Doug decided to join SCIS.
Doug is licensed in both the states of Nebraska and Iowa.
